Iconic Pizzeria For Sale – Steps away from the Gabba Stadium

Description

On the market for the very first time is this iconic pizzeria, a restaurant with an exceptional reputation and enviable location only steps away from Brisbane’s iconic Gabba stadium, home to many great sporting events and the 2032 Summer Olympics.

Located within a busy residential and commercial zone, in a rapidly growing area there is no shortage of passing trade throughout the day and evening with great street frontage, on street visitor parking plus designated owner parking.

The business is housed in a sleek, modern, and architecturally designed building with an indoor floor size of approximately 159 square metres and a seating capacity of up to 60 people.

The interior incorporates a $400k high-end fitout providing customers with a stylish setting that seamlessly maintains a relaxed atmosphere throughout. In addition to the dining area there is a stunning marble bar with ample space to cater for customer overflow.

Having grown a loyal community following of mostly repeat customers, the venue is known for its relaxed dine-in and takeaway experience. The business has achieved steady growth in income and profit throughout Covid, and it is also safe from the Flood zones!

Customers thrive on the short electronic rotating menu board of specials such as pizzas, arancini, spiced fried corn, fried chicken, beer, and wine. As part of the sale, you will become the owner of well-kept secret recipes! The kitchen team is across the menu and the head chef will stay on for as long (or little) as you like to ensure you are a success.

The owners established the business 5 years ago and have worked within the hospitality industry for 20+ so are now seeking a career change. They are happy to be a part of a phased handover and/or provide consulting services if desired.

The sale price includes the recipes, brand, and trading name, $135k worth of supporting equipment and assets, website, and social media assets, 1,000+ email distribution list, future function bookings and supplier contacts.

There are 3.5 years remaining on the current lease as well as 2 x 3-year renewal options. The landlord is highly sought after within the area and is fully supportive of the business.

In addition, well-honed tech, safety, and operational procedures are all in place plus an experienced team of staff throughout the kitchen, front of house and bar, so you can simply owner/manage if that is your desire.
All aspects of the sale are negotiable and flexible to the buyer’s needs.

I grew up in the food business, my parents owned two very successful restaurants. I have fond memories of working alongside them from a very early age.

All through my school years I knew that I wanted to be a part of the hospitality industry and the day that I started at college could not come quickly enough. I spent three enjoyable years learning my trade and left college to join my parents in their second restaurant.

In 1992 my parents decided that the time was right for them to sell up and I felt it was also the right time for me to go out on my own.

In 1993 I opened my first Cafe called “Hogarth’s” and that is where it all began. Over the following 25 years, I built and sold nine food businesses. I loved every minute (well most of it) and learnt a lot about how the sale process works, I also learned some very valuable lessons.

I love the food industry and wanted to crack double digits and open shop number ten, unfortunately, the two things that I value the most in my life, my marriage and my health probably would not have lasted if I had done that so I called it a day

I always felt that there was a better way to sell cafes and food businesses and that is where the idea for GSE came from. My vision was to build a specialist firm of hospitality brokers that could make the sales process as straightforward as possible for the owners of hospitality businesses in Australia.

I am now using the experience I gained selling my own businesses as well as selling a lot of other people’s businesses to lead the team of very talented brokers at GSE.

I would love the opportunity to show you more about how the approach that GSE take can help you to sell your business for the price that you want and on your terms.

If you are looking for a specialist Hospitality Broker who has walked the walk and fully understands the industry and all of the nuances of the sales process then I would love to hear from you.
